SHIFT SUPERVISOR – FORSYTH
Job Purpose
Responsible for directing molding shift personnel and production in order to meet the production goals in the Forsyth Facility.
Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties
PLANNING, PROCEDURES & PROCESS
- Manages shift production and personnel with regard to the Molding Department.
- Assigns daily work order instructions and leadership of the Department Staff.
- Daily review of the work scheduled within the departments to insure required products are produced in a timely manner with the appropriate resources.
- Monitors production data and recommends cost-saving improvements with regard to scrap, cycle times, materials or other items.
- Oversees all personnel on the shift, ensuring that proper training has occurred and taking steps to reduce turnover rates.
- Insures that department employees follow all policies and procedures.
- Promptly reports any production, safety, facilities or personnel related issues to supervisor.
- Coordinates shift activities and responds to issues as they arise in any department.
- Performs daily analysis of production data in order to generate performance results and assess KPI targets.
- Maintains departments in a clean, organized and safe manner by sweeping, disposing of all refuse and unnecessary debris as well as handles all required product recycling.
- Applies knowledge of all company products and services to best meet the company's and customers' needs.
- Informed of necessary repair/preventive maintenance/upkeep of department equipment, notifying Maintenance immediately of needed repair/service.
- Collaborates with other departments as necessary to insure products are produced in a timely manner.
- Must possess strong troubleshooting skills in order to assist with production technical problems as they arise.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Minimum qualifications, Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. College Degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering or Business related field preferred.
Working Experience – Nature & Length
Minimum 5 years related work experience in manufacturing injection molding preferably in the plastics industry. Minimum 5 years’ leadership and management experience.
