Job Description
Responsible for creating production orders, entering data pertaining to the production schedule and calendars, and keeping track of all work in progress. Works with customer service, vendors and suppliers, and internal departments to ensure completion of production orders. Uses software to time manage, and maintain calendars, company tasks, and other office tasks. Will work closely with upper management to review production order audits.
Primary responsibilities:
- Maintain Work In Progress (WIP) worksheets
- Production order planning - run MRP/ Requisition worksheets/ Sub-Contractor worksheets
- Produce and Schedule all production orders and subcontractor purchase orders
- Create ITEMS, BOM (bill of materials), and ROUTERS as needed
- Order raw materials
- Submit demand for BOM items – Create POs as needed
- Follow up on delivery dates from sub-contractors and vendors
- Open/Close and maintain production orders
- Follow up with production on WIP items (start to finish)
- Enter production order data into an audit spreadsheet
- Communicate daily status updates
Secondary responsibilities:
- Enter correctional data in the ERP system as needed
- Experience in MS NAV is a plus
- Enter analysis data from the production department into worksheets in Excel
- Generate reports for inventory; inbound/outbound transactional data; and forecast demand
- Assist in purchasing and shipping as needed
- Assist in other office administrative duties as needed
