Job Summary:
The Plant Production Scheduler will be responsible for maintaining production schedules according to customer needs. Maximizing effectiveness, efficiency, and throughput in all aspects of the fresh, dry, and peeling production process. Will work closely with customer service on balancing all incoming sales orders with existing capacity and production backlog. This is a highly visible position which will be communicating all schedule updates and/or changes to all of operations daily.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creating, maintain, and updating production schedules for Fresh, Dry, and Peeling Production
- Ensuring that the production schedules and deadlines are met by working closely with Customer Service and Sales team.
- Communicating and arranging material needs from our storage facilities to ensure they are in the processing plant in a timely manner.
- Ensure all production run orders are grouped in an effective and efficient order to maximize uptime.
- Considers production capacity and sales forecast and communicates to production management opportunities to control labor usage within the operation.
- Utilizing existing ERP system to produce an accurate and efficient schedule.
- Analyze inventory turns, and order patterns to establish material stock levels to meet customer needs.
- Assist with analyzing stock levels with the Warehouse and Logistics team to ensure a consistent turn of saleable product with minimum inventory levels.
- Assist Plant Production and Manufacturing Manager with developing analytical operational reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in manufacturing, administration, management or relevant filed preferred
- Strong organizational skills and an analytical mindset
- Proficiency with computers and job specific computer software
- Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
- Excellent communicator
- Detail-orientated and highly motivated individual.
- Ability to manage deadlines.
