Puraglobe is hiring Production Operators at the Port of Tampa!
We are looking for Production Operators for the first shift working 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday during their training period until the 2nd Shift is established later in 2024.
Hours will then likely be 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with a second shift differential of $1.00.
The hourly rate for this position starts at 20.00 an hour!
Occasional overtime is available and may be required to help with production needs.

The Production Operator works on a team in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Duties include operating bulk loading and unloading equipment, blending equipment, high-speed packaging equipment, loading raw materials, troubleshooting equipment, performing equipment repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, quality control inspections, and recording production output and quality.
Essential Functions:- Operate bulk loading and unloading equipment at the rail spur and truck bay.
- Operate bulk blending equipment.
- Operate filling and packaging equipment for various package types and sizes.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair blending, filling, and packaging equipment.
- Monitor all running equipment feedback for normal running parameters, set points, etc. according to work instructions.
- Perform quality checks and ensure quality control.
- Conduct cleaning of rail car spur, truck bay, filling and packaging machines, and related equipment.
- Participate in execution of preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on filling and packing machines and related equipment.
- Perform changeovers to include changeover parts set-up, planning, improvement, and assessment of changeover success.
- Daily reporting and recording of damaged containers, production yields number of packaged finished products, and potential maintenance-related issues.
- Utilize process improvement techniques, tools, and procedures.
- Report spills or leaks that could cause an accident or affect the environment.
- Report any unsafe conditions and follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Production job order execution for blending, bulk loading and unloading, and packaging.
- Operation, troubleshooting, operational checks/inspections, and operator maintenance of multiple packaging lines.
- Product and tooling changeover procedures for multiple packaging lines.
- Flush oil collection, sampling for lab testing, and storage.

- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to interact and work well with other team members.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day.
- Must be able to tolerate fluctuating temperature conditions.
- Ability to work well in a team encompassing many disciplines as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Must have a VALID Florida Driver’s License or Florida ID (required for entry into the Port)
- Must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check
