Role: Production Operator
Direct Client Contract Position
Smyrna Location: 611 Enon Springs Rd E, Smyrna, TN 37167
Shifts:
1st shift - 7am-4:30pm
2nd shift - 2pm-10:30pm
3rd shift - 10pm-6:30am
Lavergne Location: 1001 Centre point Dr. Suite C, Lavergne, TN 37086
Shifts:
2nd shift - 2:30pm-11pm
3rd shift - hours to be determined. We are in the process of implementing the 3rd shift. The operators will need to train for 1-2 weeks on either 1st or 2nd shift before they are moved.
Responsibilities:
● Maintain standards
o Responsible for application of Stop Scrap procedures (Related to all manufacturing) where applicable.
o Respect Operator Certification Process
o Application of health, safety, environmental & site rules for the APTs of his/her perimeter
o Ensure application and respect of updated working instructions for every station, including rebuild.
o Ensure respect of all working standards (safety, work instructions, quality, 5S, respect of the product, OK start…) during the operations and propose/ implement improvements.
o Support in implementation and maintenance of work standards with support functions and shift supervisor.
o Apply ERIM standards: abnormalities detection (formalized on red tags), systematic inspection & regular cleaning of equipment, 1st levels of preventive maintenance.
o React and report on QRAP (Quick Response Action Plan) equipment performance (downtime).
o Update QCDM’s and communication boards as required.
o Cooperate and function in a team based environment.
● Maintain production
o Maintain KOSU (production rate) with respect to SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery) to meet shipping schedule.
o Detected and react in case of issue problem(s) within production and report them immediately to shift supervisor and on QRAP (Quick Response Action Plan)
o Respect daily the MPS Schedule (production build and shipping)
o Understand who the internal customers and suppliers are, as well as who the end customer is.
o Develop versatility and competence in all related job tasks and operations
● Maintain Continuous Improvement
o Participate in the implementation of Improvement proposals each month.
o Participate to safety and environment risks reduction & participate in line QRQC
o Respect Zoning, 5S and improvements by his/her team.
o Participate in VPS (Client Production Systems) workshops
o Respect Client 5 axes in daily activities to reach and maintain V5000 targets.
Education/Training
HS Diploma or GED Equivalent; Certified Production Technician (CPT) Preferred
Professional Experience
Experience in automotive manufacturing (3months), or beginner with previous education in manufacturing
