- Process Operator: Operates equipment used to manufacture products.
- Weighs, measures, and checks raw materials to ensure that batches manufactured contain proper ingredients in proper quantities.
- Maintains inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing.
- Keeps accurate and up-to-date batch records and data sheets on batches in process.
- Performs in-process tests (such as hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture content) to ensure that batches meet specifications.
- Recognizes equipment and product problems, notifies supervisor, and/or troubleshoots errors in order to achieve optimum production levels.
- Candidates for this position must be able to follow written Standard Operating Procedures and verbal instructions in order to fabricate, inspect, and package chemical-based products.
- Good organizational skills and relevant computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) are required for maintaining production records.
- The ability to safely handle lab equipment/tools and chemicals is required.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manual assembly and packaging of products
- Organize materials and work areas
- Suggest items for the “Continuous Improvement” initiative
- Record keeping and data sheets
- Fabrication, inspecting, and packaging of chemical-based products
- Able to maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or High School diploma/GED with 2 or more years of experience in an assembly or production environment.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and have excellent communication skills.
- Good manual dexterity, meticulous attention to detail, and an interest/ability to quickly learn new work operations
- Prior Assembly or Lean manufacturing experience is a plus
