Who You Are:
In short: You’re a production rockstar & go-getter, ready to support a merry band of documentary filmmakers in fixing the illiteracy crisis.
Who We Are:
Captured Time Productions has been making documentaries with a difference since the 1990s. We’re seeking an exceptional and proven Production Coordinator to join us onsite in our cozy Production Office in Litchfield, CT. You’ll come in and hit the ground running, always keeping an eye out for opportunities to roll up your sleeves to do what’s needed to get the job done right.
We just finished our latest feature-length documentary on fixing the illiteracy crisis with a body of work called the Science of Reading. Check out our official trailer for Hopeville: How to Win the Reading Wars here: https://youtu.be/eL1tSZDfmS4?si=BdGX14Q1GCuQNW7O
What’s Next:
Now that post-production is finished, our small documentary firm is neck-deep in impact campaign execution and getting ready for a wide range of distribution channels. True to our typical production style, we intend to take our documentary and the illiteracy crisis to general audience, giving them both sides of the story, and finally arming our viewers with an advocacy toolkit to continue this important work beyond each screening.
We haven’t always had the science (of reading), but we do now. When you know better, you do better. Come do better with us and help our team bring Hopeville to every community, school, and household in 2024 and beyond.
We're looking for someone who enjoys:
- Staying busy with a heavy workload, while wearing a variety of hats (welcome to independent documentary filmmaking!)
- Paying close attention to detail. We’re all human here and errors happen. That’s why keeping our lines of communication open is so key. Speaking of…
- Writing: From writing taglines, social media updates, elevator pitches and all kinds of emails in between, you’ll have many opportunities stretch your creative skills, all while interacting with a wide-range of stakeholders
- Creating: From shorts and reels to video podcasting, our studio does it all. Not to mention external projects that come to us from an extensive network of offsite clients
- Googling: From tracking down first-edition books for our voracious reader of a Director to finding production crews in Columbus, OH, you are both our first line of defense & a key researcher on the team.
- Traveling: We’re going on the road with Hopeville one way or another and we need someone who’s willing and able to come along for the journey.
- Helping: The days are long and the work can be heavy. It helps to know you’re helping to change lives.
Basic Duties:
