Job Description
Direct, coordinate and supervise the planning, scheduling, quality, material control and expediting of manufacturing for the timely production of company products. Participate in planning and establishing long range manufacturing objectives. Ensure the processing of orders and the maintenance of inventory through schedule planning, machine loading, material requirements and procurement, etc. to obtain maximum utilization of staffing and equipment. Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, quality and sales departments, informing them of schedules, needs and order status.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with all departments in TX and IL keeping everyone abreast of any issues
- Learn the work-flow processes for continuous improvement
- Supervise operational activities to meet on-time shipping and lead time goals
- Supervise, develop, and motivate employees
- Training of employees in all areas of safety, job, and quality standards
- Participation in annual SQF audit and ongoing forms compliance
- Apply company core values, policies, and procedures and ensure accountability
Job Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations
- 10+ years’ experience in a management role within manufacturing
- Background with manufacturing methods and process improvements
- Experience in SQF and HAACP procedures and audits
- Strong communication and problem solving skills, tactful, and detail oriented
- Mechanically inclined with strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working with production staff in a hands-on environment
- Computer skills including Microsoft applications
- Bi-lingual a plus
