Production Manager - Off Shift

What You Will Do

The Production Manager provides supervision and leadership to the 2nd and 3rd shift production lines. Primary responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, supervision of team members, and the overall flow of production assigned to this shift.

The Production Manager's role will include working closely with the team to ensure smooth operations of the production of various pet food products to meet production targets. The Production Manager is also responsible for planning and assigning work, implementing applicable policies and procedures, increasing line workers' skills and abilities through training, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, and operating procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include

• Be an active and participating member in shift operations of team.
• Capable of setting and meeting production schedule requirements; hold to production metrics at all times.
• Create an atmosphere that inspires great morale by always striving to set a positive mood.
• Supports everyone's efforts to succeed and win as a team.
• Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; displays a willingness to make decisions.
• Work with and coordinate with Supply Chain manager to order ingredients and vendor products.
• Maintain all machinery; communicate with Maintenance and Director of Operations if there are mechanical issues related to production equipment.
• Perform monthly inventory of ingredients, as necessary and requested.

• Ability to prioritize efficiently and delegate responsibilities to maximize throughput.
• Attention to detail and delivery of accurate data on a timely basis.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
