Production Manager
Responsible for organizing and overseeing the manufacturing of goods. Responsible for smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. Deep know-how in production procedures in order to direct personnel towards maximum performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Oversee and supervise the Manufacturing department to include Blending, Quality Control and Packaging.
- Provide for the timely manufacture and testing of product in accordance to approved QA master records.
- Maintain average workdays to manufacture and ship all published catalog items.
- Maintain average workdays to manufacture and ship all custom manufactured items (RCC label).
- Provide monthly responses to budget variance.
- Provide for utilization planning by weekly reporting of the average Work-in-Process.
- Perform physical inventories of raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods.
- Provide for an appropriate balance of inventory to meet performance and financial objectives.
- Implement plant safety programs and ensure compliance with GMP.
- Communicate directly with Health Safety Security Environmental (HSSE) Manger on all HSSE matters.
- Liaison to HSSE Manager on HSSE training initiatives.
- Conducts daily HSSE briefs while conducting routine site inspections and reporting them to HSSE Manager for action.
- Confirm that appropriate work instructions are developed and maintained and followed throughout the business.
- Ensure that all ISO quality systems are followed.
- Provide compliance to ISO quality systems (i.e. Corrective Action).
- Oversee facilities and grounds maintenance.
- Manage and supervise employees, resolve problems, and make recommendations for staffing and interviewing candidates for employment.
- Responsible for Functional Training Document (FTD) program compliance; promotion, execution and enforcement.
- Champions Functional Training Document (FTD) program through employee learning and development initiatives; standards of excellence & leader/employee accountability.
- Other duties as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proven experience as production leader.
- Deep knowledge of production management.
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
- Outstanding communication ability.
- Excellent organizational and leaderships skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
- Competency in training internal departments on new product features.
- Ability to follow written instructions of a highly detailed and technical nature.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a chemistry, business administration, marketing, engineering or business-related field or similar scientific discipline.
- Five (5) years of manufacturing management experience supervising manufacturing employees, with a thorough understanding of Hazmat, Supply Chain and Safety Programs.
- Three (3) years work experience with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical environment may require the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. This position may be working in the warehouse under various indoor environmental conditions, including supplemental heating in the winter months and without air-conditioning in the summer months. May be requested to work overtime and weekends. The position may occasionally be exposed to ruptured, leaking packages, some of which may contain Hazardous Materials. Where appropriate, proper safety equipment should be utilized and/or appropriate personnel notified. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals. This job may require lifting of up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
