Production Manager I, 2nd Shift Monday -Friday 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm
Job Overview:
Direct several manufacturing teams in their efforts to continuously improve through the application of Lean concepts. Reporting to the Production Manager III, this role will drive quality, productivity and safety that consistently exceed customer and Company expectations. Must have a strong record of process improvement accomplishments through team engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Improvement:
- Drive improvements in production processes using defined lean and continuous improvement methods.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities, including the Idea Generation System.
Performance Accountability:
- Accountable for ensuring production goals are achieved, identify barriers when not achieved, and drive efforts to exceed targets.
Training and Development:
- Deliver flex-training to associates and measure to provide performance results for fluid feedback.
- Oversee training of production personnel to develop their technical capabilities and increase productivity levels.
- Coach, develop, and mentor staff through effective use of continuous feedback and open communication and ensure that all direct reports are properly trained in their necessary duties and suggest training to improve required job skills.
Policy Adherence and Oversight:
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to and enforced by department supervisors and team leaders.
- Oversee and accept responsibility and accountability for production-related activities, departments, and associates.
Safety and Communication:
- Maintain a safe environment.
- Provide clear communication of issues to alternate shift leadership.
- Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
Cost Management:
- Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced cost of manufacturing operations.
Team Motivation and Support:
- Motivate, support, and provide guidance to Manufacturing staff.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years’ prior experience in Manufacturing, Fulfillment leadership or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement.
- Influential collaborator who builds highly productive and respectful relationships across all levels of the organization as well with external partners.
- Proven leader with deep understanding of manufacturing operations and a track record of achieving business objectives.
- Ability to develop creative, executable ideas and strategies.
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and be able to balance multiple priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft office experience as well as ERP/Warehouse Management System Experience.
- Flexible to meet customer’s needs / training.
- Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred, but not required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
