We are currently seeking a Production Manager - Fixtures & Displays for retail fixtures and corrugate displays with strong understanding of merchandising solutions at retail. As the Production Manager - Fixtures & Displays, you will be responsible for the development, procurement, sourcing and execution of all retail marketing fixtures and displays. This role is essential in building and strengthening relationships with the client and ensuring projects are developed and delivered on time and within financial business targets.
- Manage production partners, such as printers and fixture fabricators, to engineer and produce required items to spec, and ensure quality control of final output
- Manage all timelines and tollgates related to fixture projects, constantly problem-solving issues and negotiating better solutions, alternatives and workarounds with internal and external partners to ensure on-time and on-budget execution of the retail program
- Work with fixture vendors on design and sampling of any new fixtures or redesigning of existing fixtures
- Coordinate sample production and approval
- Assist in sourcing new and alternative products and/or reliable Vendors
- Partner with Vendors to negotiate best pricing, lead-times, and terms
- Evaluating spending while seeking ways to improve & enhance the quality of products purchased.
- Maintain and manage vendor relationships that foster improved quality and service including issue resolution and alternative options for cost reduction or improved efficiencies
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet the demand of Real Estate projects, fixture rollouts and store replenishments.
- Review orders with management to ensure accurate orders and timing.
- Act as a vital link between the client, creative and production teams, suppliers, and shared services team(s) to ensure all terms of the contract and SLAs are met
- Continually seeking to drive down costs in custom manufactured product displays, demo units, innovation, ideation and creative
- Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle for ongoing projects from the initial requirements gathering, supplier selection and coordination with manufacturing, to final delivery of products. Work with suppliers to ensure SLA's are met and products are received by the customer on time.
- Reinforce compliance with company policies and procedures with respective teams
- Set and lead strategic plans for the development and continuation of the account
- Support the Account Director for QBR's and any additional client meetings
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 5-7 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience
- Experience with procurement of retail permanent display, lighting, textiles, plastic, wood and steel construction
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; proficiency in Sktechup is a plus
- Requires excellent communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand. Able to explain programs policies and procedures in language that is understood by others
- Strong knowledge of clientele and superior customer service skills
- Solid negotiation skills and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with clients and management
- Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems. Must be able consistently identify critical elements, variables, and alternatives to develop solutions
- Able to apply excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments. Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Able to apply expertise in all the tools or applications used to complete work assignments
