You will report directly to the Production Engineering Manager and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day production at the Federal Pump site of Pump Systems located in Brooklyn, NY.
The Production Technicians will report to you. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to optimize workflow, ensure accurate bill of materials and inventory, maintain data integrity and manage shipping/receiving. You will need to have great attention to detail and will be able to operate within an ERP system, as well as have strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Come and Grow with a Leader in the Industry PumpSystems has an exciting opportunity for aProduction Manager to join our team in Brooklyn, NY Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day production at Federal pump Manage and improve Inventory at shepherd and off-site storage location Collaborate with Engineers to optimize workflow and make corrective changes to production procedures Manage Shipping/Receiving Maintain order and good relationships within the shop Communicate regularly with upper management regarding any production related issues Motivate, Support, and guide production staff Coordinate the flow of materials, parts and sub-assemblies between departments on shop floor as well as to and from suppliers, by ensuring the availability of equipment, tooling, materials and labor. Review materials and parts inventory required for production Compare records on inventory, materials/parts requirements to ensure adequate programmed control data Use problem solving and critical thinking skills to overcome obstacles Teach lean concepts and actively engage employees to improve speed, quality and reduce cost Preferred Skills: Quality control Inventory management Shipping and Receiving Autodesk (CAD/CAM) Knowledge of pumps Requirements: $50,000-$75,000 Annual Salary Must have minimum 3 years in Production/Manufacturing Must have Bachelors degree. Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Manufacturing) Associates degree accepted with work equivalent experience Supervisor / managerial experience (1 year minimum) Solid understanding and proof of applying lean manufacturing practices ERP/PLM experience (1 year minimum) Adept in Microsoft suite applications (excel preferred) Production planning (1 year minimum) Attention to detail, organizational skills, multi-task, and can work under pressure Must be able to reliably commute to work daily: Brooklyn, NY (11208) HOURS: (7:00 A.M - 3:30 P.M)
