Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced Production Manager who has experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments. This is a salaried direct onsite position at our client's site in Tolleson (85353).
High volume manufacturing workforce management experience is a must (e.g., scheduling & overtime management, tackling employee issues, quality, Lean...) along with a Bachelor's degree. Electronics manufacturing experience is a plus, but any high volume production management experience will do.The Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the manufacturing floor. Assist the senior manager/director with leading new technology transfers, new production line set up, production improvement to ensure a smooth production operation, people management initiatives, and business related functions focused on improved manufacturing.
- Participate in the tasks of launching new factory and scale expansions.
- Establish effective planning capabilities to maximize the production capabilities to achieve high quality output and delivery.
- Conduct the machine and the equipment integration application to create or maintain an effective scheduling system to enable the floor to achieve production capacity targets, and improve the operation control capability of floor.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams, Process integration, Yield improvement as cross-functional cooperation to meet customer's requirements.
- Manage all members and building team spirit through involvement and effective communications.
- Proactively identify talent and continuously develop team members with a deliberate road map.
- Resource planning, task prioritization, and related cross-function management work.
- Drives the standardization of manufacturing processes.
- Participates and drives closure to actions generated at frequent corporate conference calls
- Strategically manages all manufacturing engineering assets related to product data receipt, conversion, programming, integration and product support, including but not limited to, Product Engineering, Configuration, Process Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Methods and R&M
- Directs advanced and sustaining process engineering functions to ensure state-of-the-art capability and maximum availability to Production
- Ensures availability of computer-based tools, methods and equipment in support of rapid, accurate and thorough DFM feedback and documentation
- Leads strategic role in multi-year capital planning process to oversee that manufacturing equipment is upgraded, replaced and purchased in support of Operations requirements
- Participates and actively engages in Operations Staff activity
- Establishes clear measurable goals and objectives by which to assess individual and team results (i.e. metrics, project timelines and effectiveness, education and training, role and responsibilities execution, personal development, succession planning, Lean projects & OI impact tracking, COPQ).
- Drives individuals and teams to continuous improvement in key metrics and the achievement of organizational goals. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are clearly defined and understood.
- Drives a lean culture. Identifies creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
