JOB OBJECTIVE:

Train and execute routine and non-routine activity with the operating team to ensure that safety, quality standards, throughput, cost, and advancement training are achieved. Coordinate and execute the Shift
Supervisors plan for work schedules, staffing requirements, and sheet line change overs to maximize safety and productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Train and direct hourly employees in production and production support roles to ensure that safety, quality, on time delivery, and cost goals are met or exceeded

2. Collect data on Scrap and unplanned delay. Understand how to use that data to make daily operating and processing decisions/changes

3. Execute Production Supervisors plan for work schedules, staffing requirements, and sheet line change overs to maximize throughput

4. Contribute to the development of and ensure compliance to processes and procedures to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity

5. Direct, coach, mentor, employees on day-to-day job responsibilities
6. Ability to manage in a dynamic atmosphere with a positive attitude
7. Required to collaborate and leverage resources and support from other functions/departments
8. Lead rail car unloading and material flow
9. Ensure accountability of operations team members to meet or exceed all essential job duties
10. Ensure compliance to standards and policies/procedures in the work area (PPE, quality, work rules, cell phone policy, etc.)
11. Assist in production line change over while mentoring sheet line operator in the process
12. Break relief or backfill sheet line when necessary to maintain asset plan for production
13. Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Highly organized with attention to detail
2. Proficient computer skills (Email, ERP, Microsoft Office)
3. Clear communicator with ability to train and mentor with a positive attitude
4. Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, as necessary, to achieve departmental objectives
5. Experience with common manufacturing principles and terminology including lean and 5S
6. Must possess good written and verbal communications skills
7. Minimum of 5 years extrusion experience or a related field of expertise, or combination of both

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

1. High School diploma or GED equivalent
2. Some college preferred
3. Prior lead experience preferred
4. Training in workforce management and/or personal leadership development

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS:

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, sit and stand for extended periods of time

2. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour
