Â We are currently looking to add a Production Innovation Lab Technician to our team in St.
Cloud, MN.  In this role you will Assist with supervised experiments using microbiology techniques as well as other applicable methodologies leading to new products or process improvements. Generally required to apply education and work experience to conduct focused research thoughtfully, collaboratively, and efficiently with high integrity.  What can I expect in this role? In this position, you will work 7 am - 4:00 pm Monday thru Thursday, and 7 am - 1 pm on Friday.    Some key duties in this role include: Performs basic microbiology techniques including microbial culture, enumeration, and isolation Assists with development, manufacturing, quality control (QC) of microbiology products, and transfers necessary details to other function units (Production/QC/Packaging) as needed.
Research and investigation of product failures and report to Production Innovation Manager. Fill out and record all applicable production documentation. Perform and document specified productions, labeling, storage functions, and activities on each Device History Report (DHR) and comply with the provisions contained with the DMR.
Manufacture components and media for new product enhancement research and development under supervision. Manufactures test lots and analyzes product performance for intended functions according to the appropriate DMR, policies, and procedures. Document research to support new product enhancements validations, verification, qualification, and specification/performance and statistical analysis as they apply to the company's products and according to policies and procedures Perform new product enhancement research and development under supervision.
Assists with development and production of product line extension that fall within the scope of current product lines. Assists with development and production of products for customer requests that do not fall within the scope of any current product lines and/or requires the capability of the department. Write or review new department SOPs/update existing department SOPs as necessary.
Collaborate, support, and communicate on a regular basis with other production teams and members of other functional areas. Perform basic assaying of microorganisms made in Production Innovation Department. Perform characterization studies and/or validations as assigned by the Production Innovation Manager.
Bring recommendations for improved efficiencies and product enhancement ideas to the Production Innovation Manager's attention.
