Form of workJob Summary: Provide product drawings, illustrations, and specifications for custom and standard signage products.
Primary Duties:
- Create custom illustrations and drawings for SignScape
- Work directly with sales to create customer-facing product drawings and sign renderings for pre-production
- Assist in product design and part verification
- Verify that product designs are within our manufacturing capabilities
- Ensure that drawing and specifications are accurate
- Stay current with illustration software and design tool
Job Specifications:
- Working knowledge of Illustrator, CAD, Solidworks, or Corel
- Basic typography knowledge and experience.
- The ability to read and understand part drawings, tolerances
- Complete understanding of manufacturing capabilities following training
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through on completion
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
Education:
- Minimum 2 years of technical college and 5 years of product design experience
Office Equipment Software:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office utilizing Word, Excel.
- Experience with Illustrator, Corel, CAD, Solidworks or other illustration software
Job Relationship:
- Reports directly to Plant Manager of Signscape Division
- Works closely with manufacturing and sales departments
Authority:
- Update and maintain drawings and bills of materials
- Complete custom illustrations and drawings for Signscape
