Production Data Analyst

Giorgio Foods a leader in the production and distribution of Canned Mushrooms and mushroom related products is currently seeking an experienced Production Data Analyst to work at our Blandon, PA location. This individual will be on-site creating and maintaining production schedules in order to ensure that all the company goals are achieved, and deadlines are met. By developing effective schedules, candidates can expect to play a major role in helping the company reach its objectives. Must have a strong understanding of the production process and be able to generate and maintain effective daily and weekly schedules. Post schedules, solve production problems, seek to improve processes and help fulfill company’s expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain production schedules (Labeling / Stuff Mushrooms) to support sales and inventory plan within ERP system.
  • Reviewing MRP demand requirements, place requisitions in business system to support production schedule.
  • Production entries (Labeling / Back-up for Cannery, Stuff Mushrooms and PBJ Products).
  • Maintain systems and procedures to provide management of the finished, semi-finished and raw materials. Support cycle counting processes to maintain accurate inventory levels within the planning systems.
  • Analysis data and prepare reports for management review.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and make recommendations to process.
  • Assist with supporting overtime as needed to cover varying production needs. May include long days, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Daily cycle counting of materials, both in the Cannery side and the RTE side. This includes, but is not limited to, the elimination of material inventory discrepancies and assurance that all packaging materials are counted and adjusted which will, in turn, assure the reliability of inventories for production runs.
  • Assure incoming materials are properly order and within all quality specifications and documentation is maintained for all materials.
  • Following escalation protocol when discrepancies are found between physical counts and systematic counts through reconciliation process.
  • Work with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and the Warehouse to ensure all materials needed for upcoming production runs are On Site and ready for use.
  • Liaison with Operations and Finance on scrap/destruction requests regarding disposition of obsolete/unused materials.

Requirements:

  • High School or Equivalent preferred combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in the associated functional area.
  • Knowledge of warehouse/distribution technologies and methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
  • Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a “get-it-done, can-do” attitude.
  • Computer proficiency with SAP and above average proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Excel & Outlook.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods, planning, and technologies a plus.
  • Must practice safe work methods and comply with wearing / using the proper PPE 100% of the time on the floor and always work in a safe manner.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to endure on a daily basis, walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions and hot and cold room environments.
  • Assist with supporting overtime as needed to cover varying production needs. May include longer days, weekends and/or holidays.
