Do you love working with your hands and take pride in creating beautiful products? We have relocated our production facility to Saline, Michigan, and seeking a Production Craftsperson to join our production team. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required, as we will teach you all you need to know to be successful. Employees in this role will assist in the bookbinding process, more specifically binding headbands and proofing completed albums for quality issues.

A perfect candidate will be skilled in at least one of the following craftmanship, leatherwork, sewing, fine carpentry, art framing, printing, or bookbinding. This is a very hands-on role, with most of the day spent actively creating products using genuine leather & various fabric materials. Every team member is expected to stay flexible & helpful to others in different production areas.

• Proficiency in one area of the bookbinding process

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have strong manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to make basic adjustments using company-provided tools.
• Math skills (i.e., decimals, metric units) to understand dimensional, quantity, and size requirements contained in job orders and to make more complicated adjustments.
• Skill in adjusting powered machines using hand tools (i.e., brushes, wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, knives) and more specialized hand tools.
• Must be able to work productively in a team environment. We prefer to maintain a low-drama, low-stress workplace.
• Must handle client images in a professional, mature, and confidential manner
• Ability to move supplies/parts/products weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand and walk for 8+ hours
• Must be able to follow safety procedures
• Must be able to work in a production environment with potential exposure to chemical smells and loud noises.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of high school education or equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year of related experience in binding, printing, or press operations preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
