Production Associate
Compensation: Starting pay of $17.15-21.15/hr! + three performance bonuses a year!

Progressive and growing master distributor of industrial fasteners seeks a detail-oriented teammate to support our growing operation. This role includes material handling and utilizing manufacturing machinery while following operating procedures. The role is entry-level and can lead to a career in machine tool programming, which is a highly marketable skillset. We will support the learning and development of this professional. Shift: 1st Shift, Regular Schedule of M-F 8:00am-4:30pm, 30-minute lunch
Responsibilities:
- Ensure we meet customer needs and maintain a high level of service.
- Prioritize production sequence based on customer demand and lead time.
- Meet with Manufacturing Manager to discuss progress and compile reports on production volume, quality control and material inventory.
- Gather information and complete customer orders.
- Assist operations to meet shipping deadlines according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Interface with Receiving, Saws, Mills, Secondary Operations, Warehouse and other staff.
- Verify inventory reports by comparing them to physical counts of stock.
- Investigate any discrepancies and notify Management.
- Operate powered material handling equipment to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate verbally with others.

- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Ability to lift 20-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ideal Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, team player.
- Manufacturing experience, including knowledge of band saw, threader, tap arm and press breaks, desired.
- Reliability.
- Interest in career development and personal learning.
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with supervisors on completion of tasks.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities desired.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs desired.
- Preferred previous experience working in a high performance team setting.
- Ability to work Power Equipment (Crane, Forklift, etc). In-house training provided.
- Basic math skills.
Work Environment: This is a manufacturing plant environment. Exposure to high temperatures, moving machinery, moving equipment, heights and confined spaces.
