DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for stretching extruded aluminum runout and visual quality checks in a safe manner according to Cornerstone Building Brands rules and regulations
- Ensures that material is stretched in neat and orderly fashion per Work Order or Special Care Instructions
- Moves/walks material from Runout Chain to Saw Conveyor and handles extruded aluminum with care
- Observes material for dimensional and other quality issues
- Assists Tail Stretcher Operator with visual and gauge quality checks per Work Order or Special Care Instructions
- Places aluminum scrap into proper container per required frequency
- Follows instructions for proper safety procedures (placement of hands, ergonomics, etc.)
- May at times be required to assist at Saw Operator Station or other work stations as needed
- Performs 5S and housekeeping duties at required frequency
- Wears proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times
- Should have exemplarily attendance record
- Should be able to communicate in the English language
- Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32"
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Able to convert fractions to decimals
- Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
- Capable of using computerized equipment
- Will require standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of time
- Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
