Production Artist

SUMMARY

The position of Production Artist is responsible for finalizing creative designs and ensuring that our products maintain the highest standards of quality and authenticity. This position works closely with the creative and sales teams to digitally mock up products for customers and company products for use on the E-commerce website.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist with design needs for golf accessories, bags, other home goods, and apparel.
2. Translate conceptual ideas into visually compelling designs for both print and digital mediums, review final copy, layouts, and content in both print and digital formats, to ensure alignment with organizational branding goals.
3. Maintain consistency in color, font, production quality, and other visual elements across all Seamus Golf products; execute tasks such as scaling, cropping, retouching, and layout adjustments to enhance the visual appeal and effectiveness of our golf accessories.
4. Develop all artwork, needs for customer presentations, and files for vendors and in house logo applications (logo creation, concepts, layouts, patterns, colorings, coordinate embroidery.)
5. Act as the final checkpoint to guarantee the overall quality and aesthetic of the creative design process.
   

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities associated with this position are:

• Organize design file system and logo management system, including physical stamps.
• Update the Brand Manager and PLM with the status of design projects.
• Provide product designs and materials/presentations for meetings.
• Responsible for ordering .dst files for embroidery and prepping the production on laser, Zund, and other types of vendor files, along with other vendor files upon request.
• Perform detailed quality assurance checks, catching typos and ensuring resolutions, color and size accuracies, production values, and understanding nuances such as CMYK vs. RGB, spot color vs. process, vector vs. raster, and other technical aspects of graphics design.
• Collaborate with creative and sales teams using industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator, XD, and potentially Photoshop.
• Eliminate redundancy in copy and ensure the final product reflects the unique style and authenticity associated with the Seamus Golf brand.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a larger team while maintaining focus and being able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with continuous interruptions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university: Graphic Design related field.

EXPERIENCE

• 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working at/in/for: Production design, artwork preparation for use in print formats, mockups, and/or graphic design related work.
