An entertainment organization in New York City has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a new Product Specialist. In this role, the Product Specialist (Remote) will be responsible for documenting business use cases and requirements that will in turn become product stories for our engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
The Product Specialist (Remote) will:
- Collaborate with the Operations & Technology design team to build out workflows, user journeys and whiteboarding sessions that help highlight the larger picture
- Identify new forward-thinking functionality to meet new business needs or provide new business/integration opportunities
- Help collaborate on product requirement documents across a multi-disciplinary team to set forward a cohesive plan that takes all aspects into consideration
- Own product stories end to end and work with the Product owner responsible for Product Development within the Content Sales team
- Develop relationships with the various Services teams to determine inter-team dependencies, and work with Product Owners to mitigate risks
- Run research initiatives and create white papers
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Development, Product Management, or equivalent experience
- Expertise in research, technical writing, and development of user stories
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of direct Client Engagement experience
- Product Management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams
- Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
