The Product Research Technician will operate machinery to perform in-house testing on AMEC products, ensure product quality, and manage data processing tasks.
Requirements
- Operate various machining equipment for internal and customer drill testing, ensuring AMEC product performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and managers to understand test goals and outcomes.
- Setup fixtures, tooling, and workpieces for accurate testing.
- Fabricate basic tooling for securing or supporting workpieces using dedicated machine tools and safe machining methods.
- Modify test program macros and create basic CNC programs as needed.
- Ensure proper identification and inspection of drill products prior to testing.
- Procure necessary AMEC products for testing purposes.
- Provide timely test start times to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with different AMEC departments for support.
- Operate a fork truck when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in data management and analysis tools.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and setup.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup.
- Familiarity with data acquisition instrumentation.
- Ability to lift up to 32 pounds unassisted.
Education/Experience:
- Associate degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Journeyman apprenticeship preferred.
