Your Job

The Product Quality Leader is responsible for supporting GP's Dixie manufacturing sites and quality teams through assessing quality systems, validating product performance to quality expectations, leading tactical and strategy action oriented meeting with their commercial and operating partners, KPI / reporting to stakeholders to drive value creation, supporting the harmonizing of product and process of board (SBS) substrate for internal and outsource suppliers to optimize quality and product performance and profitable variability reduction of converted finished good products within the Dixie value stream. This role is a key role that enables Divisional Quality to be the preferred partner of CMG Operations and Brand teams.

The Quality Team is responsible for leading and influencing quality at our GP sites to meet production expectations, drive quality improvements, support perpetual transformation, profitable variation reduction, and develop quality talent using project management and statistical tools. The group's combined talents complement each other to optimize and ensure operational, brand & commercialization support that enables virtuous cycles of mutual benefit with partners, manufacturing and commercial.

What You Will Do

  • Lead an effective quality system and divisional quality support by proactively monitoring product and process performance with alarms based on statistical trends before non-conforming product is produced
  • Lead development and issuance of meaning KPI / reporting to stakeholders to drive value creation and identified focused continuous improvement of profitable variability reduction and tracking ongoing progress of gap closures, CTQ brand attributes and VOP inputs
  • Lead targeted Product Quality initiatives, support timely resolution of quality events to include robust CAPA / RCA development, deployment, organize knowledge shared and confirm verification of effectiveness
  • Enable the performance of products to be integrated into operational discipline, resulting in reduced losses, by using process tools that identify losses, uncover root cause and lead operations to effective corrective action which prevents reoccurrence
  • Lead Product Quality in such a way that products are delivered to our customers at the right quality, right time and in the right condition to provide excellent customer experience. This is done by having measures and metrics in place that are indicators of progress at various levels of the process, not only at finished product level, but at paper level and at shipping level

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience working with Statistical Process Controls, data analytics and variability reduction
  • Experience executing quality processes, including change management, CAPA/RCA, and continuous improvement, inspection plans, lab testing equipment and quality control plans.
  • Leadership experience with cross functional teams and developing talent
  • Experience leading transformation projects, driving strategies and executing initiatives
  • Able to travel up to 30% per needs of the business

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Biology or a Science field
  • Experience working with or through supply chain, marketing, and/or portfolio management processes in a business leadership role.
  • Experience working in a quality management system for paper products.
  • Experience with GFSI (SQF preferred) certifications and implementation.
  • Experience conducting/leading quality system audits and capability assessments.
  • Six-Sigma certification (Black Belt)
  • Experience in the commercial organization providing a demonstrated business acumen
  • Experience in paperboard (SBS, CNK, CRB, etc.) manufacturing and quality management systems
