Position Summary

Cognosos is seeking a Product Quality Lead responsible for the overall quality of our Asset Tracking Service.  A good Product Quality Lead must apply sound engineering principles and processes to ensure the quality of our entire end-to-end solution, including software platform, mobile apps, hardware, and on-premises infrastructure.

The right candidate is obsessed with product reliability and quality improvements and has experience defining processes, testing a sophisticated hardware, software, and cloud solution, building automated tools, and leading a Quality Assurance department.   If you’re looking for a highly challenging position with the opportunity to advance your technology career in the areas of cloud IOT, machine learning, cloud computing and security, then look closely at this position.

Please note:  this is an in-office position–the Product Quality Lead will need to work from our Atlanta office at least four days a week.

Responsibilities

• Work with the executive team to define and refine quality standards and metrics for the complete Cognosos platform
• Lead the software, mobile, and platform QA team, and collaborate with the hardware SQA engineers to define test cases and perform end-to-end product testing, including automated and manual testing
• Provide periodic reports/dashboard for quality metrics
• Develop and implement QA methodologies and processes to move team forward in CICD
• Drive QA tool selection/architecture, implementation and maintain the automation tool set and test framework
• Contribute to maintaining the integrity of the Quality and Test environments
• Provide feedback to the engineering team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements
• Triage product questions, team actions, bugs, and other issues to teams across Cognosos

 Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years Quality Assurance engineering experience preferably in a Hardware/Software company
• 2+ years leading a Quality Assurance team
• Background in Statistical Quality control techniques
• Understands software testing methodologies and techniques, such as front-end functional testing, system integration testing, performance and load testing
• Strong leadership skills enabling a QA team in testing activities
• Some scripting experience with python, JSON, SQL, etc.
• Knowledge of industry standard Software Development Life Cycles
• Experience with AWS environment
