Product Owner (AppDynamics)
Duration: 3+ Months (5 year long project with high probability of being extended)
Location: Remote (Nice to Have: If candidate sits local to the Phoenix, AZ or Atlanta, GA area that would be a plus so they could go into the office from time to time)
Rate: $60 - $65/hr on W2
About The Project and Job Overview:
Our customer is looking to migrate their legacy applications which consists of 9 different platforms and migrate everything over to AppDynamics to help align all their internal applications which includes Salesforce, Service Now, SAP, etc. AppDynamics will be doing the physical migration. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the success of our products by defining and prioritizing the product backlog, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that the product aligns with the company's strategic goals. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our products meet customer needs, are delivered on time, and maintain a competitive edge in the market. This position requires a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities/Job Duties/Job Description:
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including customers, business owners, and development teams, to understand and prioritize product requirements.
- Develop and maintain a clear product backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization, in collaboration with the Scrum team.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the development team, providing guidance and clarifications on product requirements and priorities.
- Continuously refine and prioritize the product backlog to maximize value and respond to changing market conditions.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, ensuring that the development team is aligned with the product vision and goals.
- Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure that the product meets quality standards and customer expectations by participating in testing and quality assurance processes.
- Keep a pulse on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to make informed product decisions.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager and other stakeholders to define the product strategy and vision. Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile software development environment is REQUIRED.
- Product Owner experience with tools such as AppDynamics and Open Telemetry is a MUST.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban is REQUIRED.
- Need someone who has a coaching mentality and help to coach other team members is REQUIRED.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate customer and business needs into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Familiarity with product management tools, such as Jira or Trello.
- Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
