What you will do
The Product Manager II – Lab Exhaust will identify products that will increase revenue for PennBarry. He/She will conduct market research, generate product requirements, and develop marketing strategies for these products including software requirements. The successful candidate will determine product specifications, production timetables, pricing and time-integrated plans for product introduction. After product launch, The Product Manager will analyze product performance in the market .
How you will do it
Understand the customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
Develop product pricing and positioning strategies.
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and definitions.
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
Work closely with engineering to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
Drive product launches including working with sales, marketing, application engineering and programming.
Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.
Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
Represent the Company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on our products and services.
What we look for
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
Minimum 7-10+ years in air moving or control equipment design and development (specifically fans and blowers).
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
Able to develop product and marketing strategies, and effectively communicate recommendations.
Able to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
Experience with marketing research.
Preferred
MBA with 2-3 years of product management experience.
Solid understanding of product cost structure and market-based pricing models.
