This position is required to act as a subject matter expert for TechnipFMC Weco™, Chicksan™, iComplete™, iProduction™ and other Frac system level products, providing insight and possibly supervision to cross-functional teams. The expertise is recognized across the organization, and in some cases the industry. Additionally, must be able to work with internal and/or external clients in understanding their needs. The ability to effectively initiate, develop and oversee complex ideas, design concepts, proposals, procedures, project, and design reviews is considered critical to success in this role.
Job Description
- Consistently leads professionals and/or technicians on a project basis. Ensures that project members understand business goals and creates energy and action toward those goals.
- Consults with other departments on equipment designs and questions. Anticipates potential problems and proactively solves complex problems through creative thinking, using internal and external resources.
- Prepares technical data and papers for sales personnel, customers, and publications.
- Coaches problem solving, creative thinking and project planning skills to less experienced staff.
- Provide consultation to others in the application of engineering practices, including a mastery of a single area and broad knowledge of multiple areas of specialty, product, and systems.
- Anticipates complex internal and external business issues with impact on the organization and can recommend innovative program and/or program solutions.
- Reviewing, approving, consulting on, and developing new design work for a broad range of systems and products. Possesses mastery in all areas of design processes relating to products and/or systems.
- Improve and approve processes, procedure and design for shop/lab assembly or field installation or testing. Able to identify and troubleshoot complex system issues and customer challenges.
- Translate customer requirements into a viable and competitive system design. Assesses technical risk and approve mitigation plans.
You are meant for this job if:
- BS Degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred.
- Twelve + years relevant experience in piping and valve design, machinery design, or other mechanical system products used in the Frac market space.
- Expert knowledge in materials, elastomerics, stress fatigue, and design analysis.
- The ability to effectively communicate and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting complex program proposals and reports to senior level management is critical.
- Expert knowledge of multiple technologies, products, and applications. Advanced knowledge of competing and alternative technologies.
- Demonstrated innovative skills to research and create new products/processes using advanced laws, theorems, and broad industry knowledge. Recognized as a technical leader among internal and external peers.
