ProAmpac is searching for a Product Development Engineer to join our team at our Wrightstown, Wisconsin manufacturing plant. As a PD Engineer you will work proactively to create, develop, design, control, and analyze products, processes, and innovations for new and existing products.

  • Lead design, development, testing and execution of products in growth programs
  • Identify and select materials needed for production
  • Improves products or materials based on specifications for effectiveness and cost
  • Design, control, and analyze experiments to evaluate changes to current products caused by changes to materials, processes, and procedures
  • Assist in the coordination and prioritization of work efforts by technical leaders
  • Evaluate changes to process documents and raw materials
  • Lead product commercialization projects for assigned product lines, which may include new opportunities or improvements to existing products
  • Work closely with R D, Sales, Manufacturing, Customers, Marketing, Supple Chain and Leadership to support innovation, sustainability, and cost reduction

Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably chemical engineering, packaging engineering, or industrial engineering
  • 2 to 4 years of previous technical service, process control, quality engineering, product development or other related technical experience
  • Experience with FDA requirements and ISO standards
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook and Microsoft Teams
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options
  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment
