Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute inspection, returns and copyright reports
  • Maintain development swatches so they are organized, updated and easily accessible
  • Provide research and information regarding new product guidelines/requirements
  • Spot check incoming inventory for quality and potential production issues, then reach out to suppliers regarding any customer complaints or issues (requesting test reports, CPCs, etc.)
  • Catalog a library of fabric qualities, strike offs/lab dips, and bulk fabrics every season and maintain and manage all fabric submits in Product Life Management system
  • Organize and manage production trims (hangtags, main labels, barcodes)
  • Approve testing costs, procedures, and analyze testing reports once complete and based on testing reports, evaluate, approve, and organize all wash/care labels
  • Review product packaging and warning labels to confirm compliance with applicable requirements
  • Complete documents for domestic testing and request and review items of concern from inventory as needed
  • Accurately complete documentation to indicate acceptance on product safety checks
  • Assist and document the investigation and resolution of problems initiated through customer complaints, and/or audit findings
  • Assist in validations of test methods, equipment, processes
  • Evaluate, analyze, document and communicate test and inspection results
  • Keep up to date with all safety regulations pertaining to Home, Kids and Women's product categories
  • Manage and assist with HTS code designation for the upcoming season

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of ASTM, CPSC and federal guidelines for children and consumer products
  • Previous experience in a product development/wholesale environment

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required in Fashion Merchandising or related field
  • Must demonstrate strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of apparel safety and production for our 3 divisions: Kids, Women, Home
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must demonstrate the ability to make effective decisions and professionally communicate, both written and verbal
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance and Quality Control
