Form of workPOSITION OVERVIEW - This position is located in the Clerk's Office of the US District Court. It is a shared services position, which provides support to the US District Court and US Probation & Pretrial Services Office, including divisional offices in Fairbanks and Juneau. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the financial operations of the court to include procuring supplies, equipment, miscellaneous services, and assists in performing day-to-day building management issues.Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of two years of specialized experience. Specialized experience is progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience requiring the regular and recurring application of clerical procedures that demonstrate the ability to apply a body of rules, regulations, directives, or laws and involve the routine use of specialized terminology. Such experience is common in law firms, legal counsel offices, banking and credit firms, educational institutions, social service organizations, insurance companies, real estate and title offices, and corporate headquarters or human resources/payroll operations.
- Must have a professional demeanor, be self-motivated, hold themselves accountable to high professional standards, and possess excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as strong verbal and written communications skills.
