Position Description:
As a Procurement Specialist, you will have a critical support role in our Advanced Thermal Systems (ATS) team, as we work closely with our customers to define the future of commercial electric vehicles. This role supports our ATS business serving Bus, Truck, and Specialty Vehicle, and reports into the North America Procurement Manager.
As part of your role, you will assist the Procurement team with all aspects of procurement process including new supplier identification, supplier selection, contract implementation, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system data maintenance, cost analysis, and generating reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Request For Quote (RFQ) generation and management.
- Subject matter expert for Procurement software for component parts.
- Support execution of sourcing processes including following up on open items with key team members/suppliers.
- Assist Procurement team with developing and implementing cost reduction and sourcing strategies to meet program timing, cost, quality, delivery, and strategic objectives.
- Facilitate Request For Information (RFI)’s and Request For Quote (RFQ)’s for new products, programs, and other sourcing initiatives.
- Support the extraction and consolidation of key functional performance metrics.
- Facilitate new supplier search and onboarding process.
- Manage price updates in SAP and PPV tracker.
- Manage the end-to-end process of gathering information, RFQs, summarizing data, and making recommendations to the Procurement team.
- Address and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and A/P department.
- Analyze data to determine opportunities to optimize spend.
- Support escalations as needed with suppliers.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including written, verbal, and presentation techniques.
- Effectively helps to train and onboard new Procurement team members.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing company purchasing environment or related Engineering or Manufacturing experience while demonstrating high potential within the company.
- Self-starter with initiative; Ability to function with minimal supervision.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
- Strong computer skills Microsoft Office Excel.
- Experience with purchasing electrical components preferred.
- Ability to interpret drawings preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations, Business Management, Engineering, or other technical field.
- Up to 20% travel to any of Modine’s plants or to meet with suppliers.
Estimated Base Salary Range - $70,000.00 - $90,000.00
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and location. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
