Key Responsibilities:
- Take a strategic approach to supplier relationship management and serve as an initial escalation point within their Area for issue resolution.
- Participate in detailed planning and execution of process improvement initiatives in alignment with the overall procurement strategy.
- Drive compliance for key categories of spend and suppliers based on feedback from the Strategic Sourcing team.
- Develop and implement RFPs, negotiate pricing, and execute contracts for local-level service agreements not covered under the scope of any national agreements.
- Support cost reduction activities and savings tracking in partnership with the Strategic Sourcing team.
- Participate and contribute to the budget process for regions within the designated Area.
- Collaborate with and support local leadership, directing and leading outcomes when required to maximize overall GFL value and help solve supply chain challenges.
- Coordinate with business units/suppliers to provide recommendations for efficiency and process improvement in areas where challenges are identified.
- Guide operations through the Procure to Pay process, providing additional training and support where needed.
- Proactively assess and mitigate supply chain risks, escalating to senior management when needed.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders with influence and integrity.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders by serving as a procurement subject matter expert and representing the procurement team in a professional and positive manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum two years of experience in sourcing/procurement, supply chain, strategic sourcing, financial analysis, contract management, analytics, or related functions.
- Strong analytical skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
