The Associate Director of Campus Procurement reports to the Director/Chief Procurement Officer and is responsible for managing and directing the purchasing activities of the campus. Campus Procurement provides procurement and supply management services to the UCLA campus (excluding UCLA Medical Center), identifies sources, negotiates pricing, terms, and conditions, establishes price reasonableness, and awards contracts for goods and services, including consulting services and government subawards, leveraging roughly $625 million in annual expenditures. Develops, structures, negotiates and administers contractual documents that establish business relationships with contractors, customers and/or partners. Collaborates with internal partners as well as legal staff to structure contracts. Professional contracting services are provided in compliance with system-wide and campus policies and procedures. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. Manages a team that supports the teaching, research, and community service mission of the University, applying performance measures and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods, services, the food program for the residence halls, and research subawards. Handles high-profile negotiations and RFx personally as needed. Campus Procurement is a component of Campus Procurement, which also oversees Strategic Sourcing, and the BruinBuy e- procurement application.
