- Supports the activities of the Director of Procurement and the Sourcing and Procurement Coordinator (full ime).
· Execute purchasing responsibilities in a timely, efficient, cost effective manner.
· Work closely with staff to establish and implement procedures to create more efficient work flow
· Obtain quotes with vendors to help identify best supplier/pricing for internal projects.
· Create/Update supplier record in master file in accordance with policies and procedures
· Create and maintain supplier list including account numbers, contact information, purchasing segment, etc.
· Process PO’s and place daily orders following operational guidelines.
· Obtain order confirmations and inform end user of any backorder, discontinued item information etc.
· Train new end users on internal ERP system
· Report on vendor performance based on inventory availability, lead times and delivery times documenting concerns.
· Document University savings
· Coordinates E-procurement Training and Customer Service Outreach
- Works closely with Accounts Payable to process invoice payments in a timely fashion

Impeccable math, organizational and communication skills both verbally and written
Ability to work independently and successful at meeting deadlines
Detail oriented team player that possesses strong negotiation skills and problem solving skills
Willingness to interact with team members/University staff.
