Procurement Analyst

We are looking for a Procurement Analyst to join Kaiser Aluminum team in the Spokane, Washington or Newburgh, Indiana area!

Benefits

• Salary range $65,000 to $85,000 depending on experience
• Additional compensation for working unscheduled days, abnormal shifts and recognized holidays

What you will work on:

• Analyze procurement data for trends, spend, utilization and cost improvement recommendations
• Analyze industry and market trends to develop category/commodity buying initiatives
• Analyze, design, and implement system and process improvements by interaction with internal users, suppliers and customers
• Understand business objectives to generate project information, action items, schedules and deliverables for Consolidated Purchasing
• Work with Purchasing Agents to provide cost effective solutions to meet company requirements
• Participate in supplier management processes such as selection, qualification or performance evaluations
• Drive process flow mapping for future state enhancements
• Write, update and/or assist with the development of current and new SOPs
• Provide education and training based upon Company policies and procedures for the procure to pay process
• Perform system testing and validation
• Conduct or assist with the deployment of system audits
• Act as a resource for colleagues; leading projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
• Solve complex problems; exercising judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
• Provide backup support for purchasing
• Support Consolidated Purchasing on tasks and projects as needed.

What you will bring:

• Requires an undergraduate degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in teams.
• High attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong computer skills, especially Excel.
