Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Purchase Request Management: Receiving and reviewing purchase requests from departments to ensure that they are complete, accurate, and within budget.
- Sourcing: Researching potential suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services.
- Supplier Management: Managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that they comply with contract terms.
- Purchase Order Processing: Creating purchase orders, ensuring that they are accurate and complete, and issuing them to suppliers.
- Delivery Management: Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Cost Management: Monitoring costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels and ordering new supplies when necessary.
- Contract Management: Ensuring that contracts are up-to-date, reviewing and negotiating contract terms, and managing contract renewals.
- Payment Processing: Ensuring that invoices are accurate and match purchase orders, and processing payments to suppliers.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
- Communication: Communicating with internal stakeholders such as department managers, accounting staff, and senior management regarding procurement-related matters, including presenting reports and making recommendations for improvement.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings and reporting the findings to senior management.
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve the procurement process to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience:
One (1) year in Procurement
Preferred Experience:
Experience in Supply Chain or Procurement in a healthcare corporate setting is preferred
Specific knowledge of the types/kinds of materials, supplies, equipment, etc. utilized in a health care environment a plus
Preferred License/Registration/Certification:
Six Sigma
Computer Skills Required:
Google Suite preferred; willingness to learn Oracle and leverage the training, reporting, and process components to excel at role
