Hiring for 3rd Shift only
Position Summary
This role is responsible for providing support on all manufacturing operations for Production in order to meet deliverables. This is an integral position within the Production team interfacing and working closely with manufacturing machine operators.
Essential Functions

- Conduct and provide operator training on product processes and procedures.
- Create and maintain process sheets to be used for machine setups as well as for optimal running conditions.
- Partner with Shift Supervisor and assist with dispositioning non-conforming materials.
- Address production problems and provide prompt resolutions.
- Enter, edit, and approve print legends.
- Create & control in line packets over designated market.
- Sign off on material conformance checks & In line quality.
- Monitor inline systems, recognize issues, and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Enter maintenance requests for machine breakdowns.
- Perform quality and safety audits as assigned.
- Manage new product development projects on production floor through final reporting.
- Adhere to the core PCA goals of ISO9000 Total Quality Management and be an active participant in group projects.
- Subscribe to and practice 5S, JIT, etc.
- Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- 3 years of practical hands-on experience in a wire and cable manufacturing environment.
- Good mathematic skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Computer literacy skills utilizing Microsoft Office, Excel with ability to learn customized systems.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English.
- Self-motivated and self-initiated problem solver with above average troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work under pressure of time and resource constraints.
- Respond to shifting priorities in a cooperative manner.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
