We are seeking a skilled Process Safety Engineer - PSM/RMP Compliance Specialist. As a leading chemical production company, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees and the surrounding community. The Process Safety Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the safe operation of our modern chemical production facility, with a specific focus on adhering to Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) requirements.
• Take ownership of all 14 elements of PSM, including process hazard analysis, mechanical integrity, emergency planning, and incident investigation.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams to develop and maintain robust Process Safety programs.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and manage potential hazards in manufacturing processes.
• Organize and facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies and update them regularly through the Management of Change process.
• Develop and maintain Emergency Control and Contingency plans, conducting regular drills and exercises.
• Monitor Process Safety performance indicators and report findings to leadership.
• Manage investigations into Process Safety incidents, near misses, and breaches, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Develop and deliver Process Safety training programs for employees at all levels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of direct experience in Process Safety or within a PSM facility with highly hazardous chemical management.
• In-depth knowledge of the 14 elements of Process Safety Management and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA's Process Safety Standard 29 CFR 1910.119).
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
