Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will apply engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of plant processes & products. A Process Engineer will provide technical and operational support that ensures safe, efficient, and low-cost plant operations. A Process Engineer will also provide support to third parties at the plant location to improve stability & capability of processes while reducing risk.

Below is a listing of the job functions this position performs:

• Design, develop and execute projects up to $ 5 million.
• Write project proposals with financial justification
• Work with third party contractors
• Create process flow diagrams, P&ID’s, material and energy balances, and plan view layouts
• Maintain knowledge of plant control systems
• Troubleshooting processes mechanical & operational
• Provide input of strategic decisions that affect functional areas
• Resolve issues arising from operations
• Participate in risk assessments, reports band identifies risk to management, provide recommendations for mitigation of risk
• Collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor(s)

• Engineering experience
• Project Management & Process Design experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 2 years related managerial project experience in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Normal Office
• Heavy work (lift 30-50 lbs.)
• Light work (lift 10 lbs.)
• Very heavy work (lift over 50 lbs.)
• Medium work (lift 11-30 lbs.)

Other physical requirements (note):

• Physically able to operate machinery to train
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
• Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle
