 The Opportunity:

LDIS LLC, A Tetra Tech Company, provides integrated engineering and design solutions for the Energy, Renewables, Water Treatment and Life Sciences markets and is looking to add a Process Engineer Vto the Process Engineering department.   Today's emphasis on Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), and Decarbonization has begun and will continue to shape the face of the marketplace. Our team meets these changing needs by being a trusted partner to each of our clients. In addition to conventional facility solutions and designs, our projects include Hydrogen Electrolysis, Ammonia Production Facilities, Renewable Natural Gas Processing, Emissions Reduction Studies, Carbon Capture and Sequestration, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, and much more.

Your Role:

        Ability to lead a discipline engineering team on projects autonomously; supervise design personnel and other staff specialists.

        Review and check designs; assists in the development of design guides, guide specifications and design control procedures.

        Serve as the lead Engineer or technical expert on all projects. Planning and managing the engineering activities on a project.

        Maintaining the schedule and budget of assigned projects.

        Conducting engineering tasks while supervising work for a small team of engineers assigned to a project.

        Performs engineering calculations and develops analysis models for projects with supervision.

        Mentor less experienced engineers, designers and drafters.

        Interface with other disciplines, vendors, clients and contractors.

        Prepares specifications detailing performance requirements, specific components, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements.

        Visit vendor facilities and jobsites as necessary.

        Prepare inquiry and purchase requisitions, bid tabulations on simple purchases, and reviews vendor drawings for compliance with specifications.

        Demonstrate a focus on least cost, safe design.

Qualifications:

        Preferred: PE license

        Required: ABET accredited Institution, BS in Chemical Engineering or higher. 

        Minimum 15-20 years in engineering: field experience, experience working in the oil and gas industry (preferred) or onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing, or refining.  

        Experience as the lead engineer on medium and large multi-discipline projects. 

        HYSYS/Promax process simulation software experience preferred. 

        Experience providing process safety engineering advice for quantified risk assessments, assessment of safety instrumented systems, alarm management, preliminary risk assessment, and layer of protection analysis.

Annual salary range $145,000-$177,000 depending on level of experience, education & location.
