Pay range: $85,000-$110,000

General Characteristics: Perform more advanced day-to-day technical engineering support for midstream oil and gas projects with limited guidance from Senior Engineering. Project types include, but not limited to: natural gas gathering, compression, dehydration, treating, NGL recovery, fractionation, storage, measurement, and utilities systems for such projects. Will report to Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering.

Required skills:

• Knowledge of gas dehydration and amine treatment and their limitations.
• Be able to specify equipment for quotation (Generate RFQ’s) and technically/commercially review quotes to make purchasing recommendations.
• Develop Cause/Effect matrices.
• Relay project information to other disciplines effectively.
• Understand material specifications and the appropriate applications in the industry.
• Make contributions to Process Hazard Analyses.
• Ability to size and review control valve and relief valves per applicable industry standards and codes.
• Develop P&IDs and PFDs from scratch. Ability to walk-down, redline, and review P&IDs in the field.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of NPSH and pump selection and limitations.
• General knowledge of fluid mechanics and compressor types/applications.
• Review of mechanical isometric and plan drawings with the ability to recognize and understand material specifications, material types, and general assembly philosophy.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Required experience:

• Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Fundamentals of Engineering Exam recommended.
• Strong work ethic and willing to travel to field/project locations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills as well as attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to quickly react to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Self-manage workload.
• Proficient in technical writing.
