We are looking to bring on a Process Engineer to jump in and assist with day-to-day activities with problem solving, troubleshooting, and automation. The candidate will be working in a variety of Process Engineering functions providing on the floor support, updating procedures, working on process studies, change controls, performing data analysis, assisting in investigations etc.
The process is fully automated so candidates should have experience with Wonderware and Rockwell SCADA systems.
The ideal candidate would need a great understanding of chemical processes and will have a “go-getter, self-starter” mentality, eager to succeed and easily teachable as there will not be a lot of handholding.
- Become an expert on the process and equipment to successfully lead and implement process improvements
- Develops conceptual strategies, processing schemes, feasibility studies, PFD’s, and detailed scopes of work.
- Authors, updates, reviews, and approves area procedures and master batch records to ensure correct content and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Designs studies, executes experiments, and perform data analysis
- Writes study proposals, progress reports, development reports, and various technical memo’s
- Evaluates new technologies to improve the commercial production process
- Supports scale up activities from R&D to production
- Supports the assurance of a robust manufacturing process for the current registered process as experience is gained post launch.
- Acts as an effective change agent
- Investigate deviations from standards of manufacturing process using effective root cause analysis tools. Recommending and implementing effective corrective and preventative actions
- Capable of generating a project scope and cost plan to effectively draft a capital request
- Develop product and process knowledge in multiple process train areas
- Contribute and draft equipment URS development and retrofit
- Participate in equipment FAT’s, SAT’s, IQ, OQ, PQ as necessary
- Participate in Quality Risk Assessments and process hazards analysis activities
- Provide training to operators on process and documentation changes
Education: Engineering Degree (Chemical or Mechanical highly preferred), 1-5 years of industry experience (Chemical manufacturing process) is the target.
