Position Summary:
Our AEC client is looking for a Process Engineer to support complex semiconductor, battery, and solar manufacturing industry projects for Fortune 100 clients in the US automotive market.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed Process Engineering designs and solutions.
- Establish, implement, and expand a selection of new and innovative concepts.
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and system layout plans.
- Perform process equipment sizing, selection, and associated specifications.
- Develop process system startup and commissioning documentation.
- Execute process design from conceptual design into completed working drawings and construction documents.
- Provide engineering support during construction.
- Provide technical leadership and support to project engineering staff.
- Contribute to business development, proposal, and the provision of technical consulting services to clients.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines, project management, system owners, vendors, and contractors via phone, email, and meetings.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience as a mid-level Process Engineer or higher.
- Solid understanding of chemical process systems control and P&ID development.
- Experience with hydraulic concepts, modeling, stress analysis, and influences on system design.
- Knowledge of fluid flow, heat exchange and friction loss in piping systems.
- Experience designing ultrapure water, specialty gas, and/or hazardous wastewater treatment systems.
- Understanding of hazardous chemical handling and applicable codes and standards.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
- Active Professional Engineering (PE) license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Semiconductor, solar, and/or battery manufacturing industry experience.
- System owner experience.
- BIM, AutoCAD, and/or Autodesk Revit experience.
- Any technical publication credits.
