seeking a skilled Process Development Engineer to join a highly experienced team dedicated to industrializing the next generation of lithium-ion battery manufacturing technologies. The position is open at both intermediate and senior levels, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will bring valuable experience in Process Development, with a preference for expertise in web handling systems, specifically in battery electrode coating. The incumbent is expected to be a self-motivated individual willing to perform hands-on work in a dynamically changing environment and will be responsible for the development of processes, and documenting process information and results. The team will work together to develop a robust knowledge base.
Responsibilities
- Development and Optimization of Mechanical Processes: Work on the development and optimization of mechanical processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Hands-on Operation of Pilot Coating Line: Actively engage in hands-on operation of the pilot coating line, ensuring the seamless execution of processes.
- Identify Improvement Opportunities: Proactively identify and analyze improvement opportunities for processes, equipment, and the pilot space.
- Support Projects: Collaborate with the team to provide support for various projects as needed, contributing to the overall success of the development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field in Material Engineering.
- Professional Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in Process Development.
- Specialized Skills: Experience with roll-to-roll processes, web handling, or coating processes/equipment is preferred.
