Procedure Scheduler

Description

The Spine Team Texas Procedure Scheduler is responsible for scheduling all surgeries, injections and procedures for patients. Position must maintain active communication regarding patient status/progress with health team members, and health care providers. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas. The Procedure Scheduler reports directly to the Supervisor of Procedure Scheduling and Medical Records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous surgery and procedure scheduling experience required.
• Centricity experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational ability.
• Possess the ability to plan and execute work projects.
• Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.
• Proficient in communicating in the English language both written and verbally.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and work in a well-lit, air conditioned office environment. Must have ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds. Must be able to work under pressure. Tasks involve no exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

Education:

• Customer Service: 2 years (Required)
• procedure/surgery scheduling: 2 years (Required)
• EMR systems: 2 years (Required)
• Follow-up scheduling: 2 years (Required)
