PRN Registered Nurse (RN)

Duties:

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and procedures.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.

Skills:

• Proficient in ICD-9 coding for accurate medical documentation.
• Knowledge of hospice palliative medicine to provide compassionate end-of-life care.
• Ability to catheterize patients for urinary catheter insertion and management.
• Skilled in taking accurate vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities to provide specialized care.
• Familiarity with family planning methods and counseling for reproductive health services.
• Proficient in administering enteral nutrition through tube feeding techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to collect specimens for testing.
