We have an immediate opening for a PRN Advanced Practice Patient Care Coordinator to support our Nursing Administration team.
SHIFT:
- 7pm - 7am
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Advanced Practice Patient Care Coordinator is the inpatient hospital administrative leader after hours, weekends and holidays. There is a VP level or above Administrator on call 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week for consultation. The APPCC will ensure continuity of administration activities and quality of Patient Care.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed under applicable laws and regulations of the State of MS. as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Holds a current narcotics permit
- Complies with MRC’s bylaws, rules, regulations and policies
- Credentialed through the MRC Medical Staff office
- Remains a participating provider in Medicare and Medicaid and managed care programs in which the hospital participates
- BLS and ACLS are required
- Minimum three years’ experience preferred as an NP in Family Practice or Critical Care
- Previous utilization of the electronic health record
- Experience supervising individuals in healthcare setting is preferred
- Demonstrates leadership skills.
- Evidence of personal, professional growth and development.
