Job Title: Caregiver
Duties:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medication and assist with medical appointments as needed
- Provide hospice care and support to individuals with terminal illnesses
- Respect and uphold the rights of residents, ensuring their dignity and privacy
- Work with individuals with autism and provide support in their daily activities
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, and social outings
- Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Assist with lifting and transferring individuals who have mobility challenges
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients
- Provide direct support to individuals in accordance with their care plans
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed
Skills:
- Experience with ADLs and providing personal care assistance
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices
- Familiarity with resident rights and regulations in a care setting
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Proficient in meal preparation according to dietary needs and restrictions
- Physical ability to lift and assist clients as required
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Direct support experience in a caregiving or similar role is preferred
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors
